I am a forty-something(!) year old stay-at-home mother of two. My husband, Chris, and I have been married for almost 14 years and I’ve been at this stay-at-home gig for almost 10. While Chris and I like to think we are co-leaders in the running of our household, the real bosses are our daughters: Sarah (10) and Katie (6) . We also have a sadly neglected dog, Ellie, who is my only source of guilt in an otherwise guilt-free life. The five of us live in a suburb of Minneapolis, trying to keep ourselves from contracting frostbite 7 months out of the year.
In my capacity as a SAHM, my hats include, but are not limited to: chef, maid, teacher, chauffeur, nurse, janitor, court jester, laundress, baker, sketch artist, hazardous waste remover, counselor, beautician, party planner, disciplinarian, photographer, social activities director, singer, seamstress, actor, reader, mediator, dishwasher, oracle, personal shopper, and sherpa.
When I am not serving my offspring, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and on the very rare occasion, escaping the asylum, er, I mean, traveling the world.
